Basically a clone of the St-Ambroise pale ale from McAuslan.
Since we used to drink St-Ambroise pretty much every thursday, the idea to brew a clone came pretty quick. A good session beer, refreshing and light without being weak. The recipe is based on information printed on the “taster’s pack” from the brewer.
Malt: 2 rand, Crystal 60L and a tiny bit of torrefied grain.
Hops: Brewer’s gold, Cascade, Centennial and fuggles.
Mk1 – First brew in Montreal. Very nice!
Mk2 – Brewed in Wickham. Darker and hoppier.
